Diagenode, the leader in the field of epigenetics, provides full solutions for your chromatin immunoprecipitation and DNA methylation research. Our products include sonication instruments (Bioruptor®), automated systems (IP-Star®), kits for chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and DNA methylation analysis, and high quality antibodies.   • Key Account Manager

    For its Epigenetics division, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated Key Account Manager (H/F), with experience in the epigenetics/ life science market, to expand our business in Switzerland, Austria and the Alsace region in France:

    Role

    Manage, develop, expand customer base and increase sales, across the territory.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver the sales targets for the territory
    • Schedule and attend customer visits to develop and grow regional sales
    • Develop customer/stakeholder/procurement /decision maker relationships by telephone, email and face-to-face visits
    • Target new opportunities and develop them for the company
    • Identify leads from trade shows, marketing campaigns, referrals, publications, etc
    • Manage territory sales and quotation pipeline
    • Elaborate sales plan and take actions to support their achievement
    • Track and report weekly progress of sales and key opportunities to the European Sales Manager
    • Keep the client database up to date
    • Attend tradeshows and manage exhibition booths
    • Identify, develop and manage key accounts for long-term sales growth
    • Work closely within the sales & marketing team to assist with targeted literature, product references & marketing campaigns
    • Continue to develop technical expertise learning from our R&D and technical support team.

    Required qualifications

    • Life Sciences degree, research experience in genetics or epigenetics is a plus
    • Proven experience in a similar role
    • Organized, rigorous and independent with a spirit of initiative and acute business sense
    • Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
    • Outstanding sales skills (negotiation, communication, …)
    • Experience with sales in the Biotech and Pharma is a plus
    • Proficient with standard computer-based tools
    • Proficient in French and German

    Location

    Alsace region, preferably Strasbourg

  • Scientist Bioinformatician

    For its Epigenetics division and under the supervision of the Epigenetics R&D Manager, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated, team-orientated individual Bioinformatics Project Manager (H/F):

    Job description

    • Work in a team of bioinformaticians with complementary skills on ongoing biological projects utilizing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) focused on epigenetic analyses
    • Oversee bioinformatics work for ChIP-seq and methylation studies (e.g. ChIP-seq, RRBS, MeDIP-seq, hMeDIP-seq) projects in the R&D Epigenetics department of Diagenode
    • Perform bioinformatics tasks supporting different customer project
    • Become the key contact person for bioinformatics-related projects with academic and industrial customers and collaborators
    • Interact directly with customers and lend scientific expertise toward understanding and assessing customers’ needs, communicating progress, explaining significance of results, and troubleshooting technical issues
    • Generate professional technical reports for delivery to customers in a timely manner to meet sales delivery schedules
    • Work with Diagenode developers to design and enhance the epigenetic bioinformatics software lab’s pipeline to meet customer’s requirements

    Required qualifications

    • PhD an Post-Doctoral (preferred) experience in bioinformatics
    • Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in a biotech or pharma company is a plus
    • Track record in bioinformatics skills related to epigenetics NGS studies (eg; ChIP-seq analysis; methylation studies such as WGBS, RRBS, MeDIP-seq)
    • Having good working knowledge of Linux and R is a clear plus
    • Experience with coding through R, SHELL, Python and Perl languages under Linux environment
    • Experience with statistical and database software is a plus
    • English: full proficiency is a must. Frenh or other languages are a plus
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, independent, entrepreunarial spirit
    • Rigour and attention to details
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent reporting skills (oral and written communication skills)


    Eligibility criteria : all nationalities, including Belgian, the condition is to have spent less than 12 months over the last three years in Belgium.

  • Embedded Systems Engineer

    For its Epigenetics division and under the supervision of the Fragmentation Equipments Manager, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated Embedded Systems Engineer (H/F):

    Mission

    The Embedded Systems Engineer will have responsibility to participate in the design of our new embedded electronics products.

    Key responsibilities

    • Define and choose the architecture of the embedded system
    • Design schematics and the hardware of electronic equipment
    • Create prototypes, test and monitor preformance of the proposed design
    • In collaboration with R&D team collaborate in writing the embedded software
    • Prioritize new developments and organize resources (time-budgets-equipment)
    • Communicate with marketing team to anticipate user needs
    • Participate in writing manuals for machines, draw up the technical brief
    • Write procedures for new products
    • Maintain technological survey
    • Work as a team member in operational activity in production, maintenance and logistics
    • Assists, from time to time, in the problem solving of various production needs

    Required qualification

    • Master in electronic engineering, electro-mechanical or equivalent
    • Experience, familiarity with or working knowledge of the following is required:
      ATMEL AVR Development toochain
      Michochip PIC32MX Development toochain
      Programming languages: Python, C/C++
      Skilled usage of PCB design software Eagle Cad or Kicad
    • Strong interest for IoT development
    • Project management oriented
