  • Scientist in Bioinformatics

    For its Epigenetics division and under the supervision of the Epigenetics Services Manager, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated, team-orientated Scientist in Bioinformatics.

    Mission

    The Electronics Systems Engineer will have responsibility to participate in the design of our new embedded electronics products.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work in a team of bioinformaticians with complementary skills on biological projects utilizing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) focused on epigenetic analyses
    • Performs bioinformatics work related to ChIP-seq, RNA-seq and methylation studies (e.g. WGBS, RRBS, MeDIP-seq, hMeDIP-seq)
    • Perform bioinformatics tasks supporting different customer projects
    • Be in contact for bioinformatics-related projects with academic and industrial customers and collaborators
    • Directly interact with customers and lend scientific expertise toward understanding and assessing customers’ needs, communicating progress, explaining significance of results, and troubleshooting technical issues
    • Generate professional technical reports for delivery to customers in a timely manner to meet results delivery deadlines
    • Work with Diagenode developers to design and enhance the epigenetic bioinformatics software lab’s pipeline to meet customer’s requirements

    Required qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master (preferred) in Bioinformatics
    • 2 years of experience
    • Experience with NGS data analysis
    • Experience in Epigenetics and Transcriptomics is an advantage
    • Background in Statistics and knowledge of Bioconductor is beneficial
    • Familiarity with genome databases and annotation is a plus
    • Proficiency with the Linux Command-Line Interface is essential
    • Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) is an asset
    • Programming experience using at least one of the following scripting languages: R, Perl or Python.
    • Knowledge of LaTeX is a plus
    • Languages : fluent in English, knowledge of other languages (such as French) is an advantage
    • Team and customer oriented person
    • Rigour and attention to details
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and abillity to communicate with wet lab/bench scientists are essential
    • Excellent reporting skills (oral and written communication skills)

  • Key Account Manager (Germany)

    For its Epigenetics division, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated Key Account Manager (H/F), with experience in the epigenetics/ life science market, to expand our business in Germany.

    Role

    Manage, develop, expand customer base and increase sales, across the territory.

    Key responsibilities

    • Deliver the sales targets for the territory
    • Schedule and attend customer visits to develop and grow regional sales
    • Develop customer/stakeholder/procurement /decision maker relationships by telephone, email and face-to-face visits
    • Target new opportunities and develop them for the company
    • Identify leads from trade shows, marketing campaigns, referrals, publications, etc
    • Manage territory sales and quotation pipeline
    • Elaborate sales plan and take actions to support their achievement
    • Track and report weekly progress of sales and key opportunities to the European Sales Manager
    • Keep the client database up to date
    • Attend tradeshows and manage exhibition booths
    • Identify, develop and manage key accounts for long-term sales growth
    • Work closely within the sales & marketing team to assist with targeted literature, product references & marketing campaigns
    • Continue to develop technical expertise learning from our R&D and technical support team.

    Required qualifications

    • Life Sciences degree, research experience in genetics or epigenetics is a plus
    • Proven experience in a similar role
    • Organized, rigorous and independent with a spirit of initiative and acute business sense
    • Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
    • Outstanding sales skills (negotiation, communication, …)
    • Experience with sales in the Biotech and Pharma is a plus
    • Proficient with standard computer-based tools
    • Proficient in German and English
