  • Key Account Manager

    For its Epigenetics division, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated Key Account Manager (H/F), with experience in the epigenetics/ life science market, to expand our business in West Germany and Switzerland.

    Role

    Manage, develop, expand customer base and increase sales, across the territory.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver the sales targets for the territory
    • Schedule and attend customer visits to develop and grow regional sales
    • Develop and deliver Diagenode’s value proposition for academic and drug development clients
    • Develop high level relationships with leaders in the basic research, biomarker and pre-clinical drug development space to establish a footprint for Diagenode
    • Target new opportunities and develop them for the company
    • Identify leads from trade shows, marketing campaigns, referrals, publications, etc
    • Manage territory sales and quotation pipeline
    • Create sales plan and take actions to support their achievement
    • Track and report weekly progress of sales and key opportunities to the European Sales Manager
    • Keep SalesForce database comprehensive and current
    • Attend tradeshows and manage exhibition booths
    • Identify, develop and manage key accounts for long-term sales growth
    • Work closely within the sales & marketing team to assist with targeted literature, product references & marketing campaigns
    • Continue to develop technical expertise learning from our R&D and technical support team

    Required qualifications

    • Life Sciences degree, research experience in genetics or epigenetics is a plus
    • Proven experience in a client facing role
    • Organized, rigorous and independent with an entrepreneurial spirit and acute business sense
    • Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
    • Outstanding sales skills (negotiation, communication, …)
    • Experience with sales in the Biotech and Pharma is a plus
    • Proficient with standard computer-based tools
    • Proficient in German and English

  • HR Officer

    Mission

    The HR Officer actively participates and supports the HR teamleader in a broad range of activities related to Human Resources, from payroll administration to business partnering.

    Key Responsabilities

    • Participate in:
      • the hiring process (from advertising to welcoming the new employees)
      • the payroll and administration of all employees (Belgium and Europe) according to legal, social and fiscal regulations
      • the follow-up of compensation and benefits policies
      • the fleet management
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR solutions (job descriptions, annual review, training, talent management, …), with an emphasis on clarity and simplification
    • Provide advice and assistance to all employees with regard to HR issues
    • Ease communication and information flow within the company

    Required qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master degree in Human Resources or equivalent

  • Bioinformatics Scientist

    For its Epigenetics division and under the supervision of the Epigenomics Services Manager, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics.

    Key Responsabilities

    • Work in a dynamic multidisciplinary team carrying out Epigenetics-related service projects, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
    • Performs bioinformatics data analysis in a daily basis related to ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, RR(ox)BS, (h)MeDIP-seq, WGBS, ATAC-Seq and other epigenetic related NGS technologies
    • Communicate with customers and provide Bioinformatic scientific expertise toward understanding and assessing customers’ needs (communicating progress, explaining significance of results and troubleshooting technical issues)
    • Generate professional technical reports for delivery to customers in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines
    • Work to design and enhance the epigenetic bioinformatics pipelines to meet customer’s requirements
    • IT operations work to maintain the health of the servers (storage, back-up, etc)
    • Implement dockers and queueing systems

    Requirements

    • PhD in Bioinformatics with a background in biology, bioengineering, computer science, statistics or related field
    • Post-doctoral experience in bioinformatics with programming and statistics/mathematical skills including linux, scripting (e.g. Bash), R (incl. Bioconductor) and machine learning
    • Experience with NGS data analysis
    • Capable of multitasking and managing several projects in parallel
    • Fluency in English
    • Team- and customer-oriented person
    • Rigourous and attention to details
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with wet lab/bench scientists
    • Excellent reporting skills (oral and written communication skills)

  • Research Assistant

    We are looking for an Research Assistant (F/M) - Epigenetics division.

    Mission

    The Research Assistant develops laboratory experiments related to molecular biology and Epigenetics. He/She reports to the team Manager.

    Key responsabilities

    • Participate in the development of experimental protocol, perform experiments, analyze the results and write experimental report
    • Participate in the establishment of new techniques in the lab
    • Perform experimental tasks in a timely manner according to the project’s timeline
    • Work accurately, precisely and be familiar with quality management practices
    • Communicate and discuss progress of projects to project managers
    • Inform the project manager about the difficulties or changes occurring during the project
    • Work in a team of experienced scientists and participate in weekly team meetings
    • Update protocols and procedures

  • Bioinformatic Ph.D Position (PEP-Net training Program)

    Under the supervision of our R&D Manager, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated Early-Stage Researcher (ESR) student to be part of the European PEP-Net training program. The PEP-Net program is an innovative and interdisciplinary network of 11 European academic and private institutions that aim to combine mathematical modeling with quantitative experiments to address fundamental and applied questions in epigenetics (https://itn-pep.net/).

    Start of the project

    Between July 2019 and October 2019

    Conditions to apply

    The applicant must follow the EU mobility rules

    • He/She must be in the first four years of his/her research career
    • He/She cannot already hold a PhD degree
    • He/She must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity in Belgium for more than 12 months in the last three years immediately prior to the recruitment date.
    • Application open to foreigners ready to move to Belgium (3 years)

    Location

    The ERS student will develop his work at Diagenode S.A in Liège but he will be enrolled as Ph.D in Biology by the Humboldt University of Berlin.

    Duration

    The position is fully funded for 36 months by the European Commission under the H2020 Marie Curie Innovative Training Network Program.

    Salary

    Marie Curie ITNs provide a highly competitive salary to the ESR, including a competitive monthly living and mobility allowance and (if eligible) a monthly family allowance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Development and testing of new bioinformatics pipelines for epigenetic data analysis
    • Analysis and interpretation of epigenetics data generated by Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), e.g. ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, WGBS-seq, RRBS-seq, MeDIP-seq, hMeDIP-seq
    • Work in a cross-functional team of bioinformaticians whose main focus is life-science data analysis
    • Support the life-science researchers and their ongoing development projects in the Epigenetics R&D department
    • Be in contact with academic and industrial collaborators related to the ongoing projects
    • Work independently and learn new techniques and bioinformatics procedures
    • Generate professional technical reports in a timely manner to meet results delivery deadlines

    Requirements

    • Education in Bioinformatics, LIfe-Science, IT (Programming) or Mathematics, a Master degree is preferred
    • Experience with NGS data analysis
    • Proficiency with the Linux command line interface
    • Ability to perform simple maintenance and administrative tasks on the computers (e.g. install and upgrade Linux software tools and R packages, manage user accounts, set up a remote connection etc.)
    • Programming experience related to R and shell scripting, knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. perl, python) is an asset
    • Rigour and attention to details
    • Being open to learn new techniques and self-development
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with wet lab/bench scientists
    • Good reporting skills (oral and written communication skills)
    • Previous experience in epigenetics, bioinformatics is an asset

  • Logistic Employee (F/M)

    Mission

    As a member of the Logistics team, the employee participates in daily operations such as goods receipt, sales order entry, picking, packing and shipping. He/She reports to the Logistics Manager.

    Key responsibilities

    • Picking, packing and shipping of sales orders
    • Shipment tracking, management of internal requests and transportation document
    • Goods receipt, storage and maintenance of physical stocks and ERP. Analysis of any gaps between the physical inventory and the computer system
    • Sales order entry and management in the ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX
    • Regular contacts by phone and e-mail with international customers, suppliers and carriers
    • Support to the Logistics manager in various tasks and projects of the department
    • Participation in the continuous improvement of processes and the quality system (ISO 13485)

    Required qualifications

    • Bachelor in Logistics
    • French / English
    • Well organized, rigorous and accurate

    • Experience with the Office suite, good knowledge of an ERP, preferably MS Dynamics AX)
