The genome sequence of the Dimorphic Bear Hoverfly, Criorhina berberina (Fabricius, 1805)

Crowley Liam and Chua Physilia

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Criorhina berberina (the Dimorphic Bear Hoverfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Syrphidae). The genome sequence is 410 megabases in span. Most of the assembly (99.72\%) is scaffolded into four chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the assembled X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 18.2 kilobases long. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 16,260 protein coding genes.
