Diagenode and Advanced Analytical Sign Co-Marketing Agreement
October 12, 2016

Diagenode, Inc. and Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc. (AATI) today announced a co-marketing agreement to promote instrument platform synergies for next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation. DNA shearing solutions from Diagenode coupled with Fragment Analyzer™ Automated CE Systems by AATI streamline NGS library preparation for next-generation sequencing.

Diagenode is a leading global provider of complete solutions for epigenetics and NGS sample preparation, offering instruments for precise DNA shearing: the Bioruptor® to shear DNA to fragment lengths between 150 bp and 2 kb and the Megaruptor® for fragment lengths between 3 kb and 75 kb. Diagenode’s DNA shearing devices provide high quality DNA fragments within the tight size ranges required for NGS library preparation.

AATI is an innovative analytical instrument manufacturer. The award winning Fragment Analyzer improves workflow in the laboratory by decreasing time to results and reducing overall analysis time. Due to its capabilities, the Fragment Analyzer has become the leading platform for quality control analysis of DNA and RNA in the NGS market.

“Our DNA shearing solutions enable unbiased DNA shearing for any fragment length” said Dr. Jerome Kroonen, Product Manager at Diagenode. “Combining our solutions with the Fragment Analyzer provides streamlined workflows for both short and long-read sequencing library preparation.”

“Data quality and performance requirements in the genomics industry have driven massive demand for our Fragment Analyzer systems,” added Dr. Jonathan Hagopian, Director of Business Development for Advanced Analytical. “We are excited to promote synergies with Diagenode shearing technologies.”

The companies have published an application note describing the technology pairings in the latest edition of Nature Methods.
