    Target description

UBA1 (UniProt/Swiss-Prot entry P22314) is catalyzes the first step in ubiquitin conjugation to mark cellular proteins for degradation. It activates ubiquitin by adenylating the C-terminal glycine residue with ATP and subsequently linking the adenylated glycine to the side chain of a cysteine residue in E1 thereby forming a ubiquitin-E1 thioester. UBA1 is also required for DNA repair response to replication stress.

Purified using FPLC, >95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE.

    Storage Buffer

    20mM Tris-Cl pH 7.6, 1 mM EDTA, 0.15 M NaCl, 10% glycerol, 0.5 mM PMSF and 1 mM DTT.
