Diagenode, the leader in the field of epigenetics, provides full solutions for chromatin immunoprecipitation and DNA methylation research. Our goal is to make epigenetics research accessible and to ensure consistent data in every experiments.

  • Customer services & Maintenance Specialist

    For its nascent Epigenetics division, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated Customer services & Maintenance Specialist (M/F).

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensure customer service for the evaluation of maintenance requirements (direct contacts with customers, diagnostic, planning);
    • Ensure installation, training and maintenance of Diagenode automation systems (analyse, diagnostic, suggest and implement solutions);
    • Participate to maintenance operations of shearing equipments;
    • Part of a small and dynamic team, participate to the production operations and help to manage the logistic;
    • Provide technical and qualitative validation of products for sale during launch phases on the market, also provides solutions to specific customer requirements;
    • Participate to the quality improvement plan of the department;
    • Participate actively in the development and writing of technical documentation.

    Required qualifications

    • Bachelor in electrical engineering or electromechanical engineering or equivalent;
    • Willing to understand the biological applications related to Diagenode’s instruments;
    • Fluent in French and English;
    • Strong customer service oriented
    • Enthusiasm for working in team, autonomous;
    • Well-organized, rigorous, independent with a spirit of initiative;
    • International exposure, flexible (50% traveling - EU/ROW);
    • Proficient with standard computer-based tools

  • R&D Project Manager

    For its nascent Epigenetics Diagnostics division based within the Belgian headquarters, Diagenode is looking for a highly motivated R&D Project Manager (M/F).

    Mission

    The Project Manager will have responsibility for the development of molecular clinical diagnostic kits taking advantage of epigenetics markers from conception to completion. Responsibilities include interacting with cross-functional teams from R&D, manufacturing, operations, quality, and regulatory affairs.

    Key responsibilities

    • Plan and execute experiments designed to develop IVD molecular detection kits based on real time PCR amplification;
    • Conduct in depth analysis of results and draw conclusions;
    • Design, conduct and document results in accordance with Good Development Practice;
    • Present and communicate results/findings in internal R&D meetings;
    • Interface with manufacturing and operations to ensure manufacturability of reagents;
    • Write technical reports and scientific publications/posters;
    • Produce and maintain proper project documentation in accordance with internal and external requirements;
    • Set up and conduct clinical studies.

    Qualifications

    Educational background and key experience

    • PhD in molecular biology, chemistry or equivalent discipline;
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in assay development/or project management within the in vitro diagnostic medical devices field. Preferably molecular diagnostics;
    • Experience with ISO 13485, CE marked and FDA environment is an asset.

    • Strong analytical skills specific to operational activities and qPCR-based product development;
    • Utilize strong problem solving skills to recognize problems and develop corrective actions plan;
    • Management skills and experience in team management;
    • Strong cross-functional written and verbal communication skills;
    • Cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to network with different functional groups/partners;
    • Ability to work independently with a minimum of direction;
    • Results orientation with a proven ability to get things done
    • Organizational effectiveness with an ability to structure projects, work flows and processes;
    • Willingness to work in fast paced and dynamic team environment;
    • 5% Travel required;
    • Languages: fluent in English. French is a plus.
